Friends, this blog has been a dream of mine for quite some time. It's been a long time coming and I'm so excited to share my thoughts with you! Grab your favorite coffee or tea and let's connect!
Be kind to yourself friend. Be kind when you don’t understand why you are hurting. When you don’t know why you are frustrated and angry. When you don’t know why you are trying to control and fix everything. Be kind.
There’s a part of you that needs your love. That needs your gentleness. There’s a part of you that needs your grace. Needs your understanding and your hugs. Younger you needs your listening ear. She needs you to consider her and gently remind her you’re near.
And as you show her kindness, all those frustrations and heavy feelings will melt away. Younger you needs you more than you think. And it’s okay to slow down and be with her.
Be kind when you are anxious and overwhelmed and can’t get anything done. Be gentle, get curious and invite yourself into a discovery discussion. Ask yourself what you’re feeling. Seek to understand you. Get to know what she is thinking, all the worries in her mind. Show her that you care and that you are there for her. This will build trust with you.
Show her that you are able to hold space for her even when you don’t have all the answers. What this will do is allow you the space to process what’s coming up in a safe space. This will help you to see that your heart matters, your needs matter, your feelings are valid.
You get to show yourself that you matter. Which is a core need of every person. And being able to do this for you, will help you to be able to do this for others. It will help you to understand yourself better and help you in communicating your feelings, needs and desires with another person. Without putting the pressure on the other person to take care of your every need.
